    • Corporate governance of VR Group

    VR-Group Ltd is the parent company of VR Group. It is a limited company owned by the State of Finland and comes under the administrative branch of the Ministry of Transport and Communications.

    Ownership steering is the responsibility of the Ownership Steering Department of the Prime Minister’s Office. VR-Group Ltd provides rail and road services and other services associated with them and supporting them, either directly or through subsidiaries and associated companies.

    Ownership and administration of the Finnish rail network is the responsibility of the Finnish Transport Agency, which comes under the Ministry of Transport and Communications. Supervision and development of rail safety and the compatibility of rail systems is the responsibility of the Finnish Transport Safety Agency, which comes under the Ministry of Transport and Communications.

    The track maintenance and construction company VR Track Oy is the largest subsidiary of VR Group. The passenger services group Pohjolan Liikenne is also part of VR Group. The other companies of the VR Group are listed in the appendix to the Report by the Board of Directors.
